| Fast, one-man spray patcher
Duraco
says its Dura Patcher spray-injection line of pot hole patchers will pay for
themselves in less than a year compared to other road repair methods.
Available as trailer- or truck-mounted units, Dura Patchers allow a single
operator to quickly repair a pothole in asphalt or concrete using a
three-step method: cleaning out the hole with high-pressure air, spraying
the area with an emulsion primer, then feeding aggregate and emulsion into
the damaged area. The completed patch does not require rolling or tamping,
according to the company, and can be driven on immediately.
Dura Patcher features include a 250-gallon emulsion tank with electric
overnight heating, a load-carrying boom for the hoses to avoid operator
fatigue, and a sound-suppressed 80-horsepower diesel engine.

Liebherr expands availability
Liebherr
Construction Equipment has formed Liebherr Equipment Source to market
the company’s equipment in select markets not currently served by
independent Liebherr dealers.
Duane Wilder, president of LCE, explained, “While Liebherr remains
committed to the independent dealer marketing channel, the changing
construction equipment environment compels us to adopt a limited dual
distribution strategy. While we continue to seek strong, well capitalized
independent dealers, our commitment to service our customers may require the
establishment of company-owned dealerships in certain markets. Liebherr
Equipment Source provides the platform and the flexibility to implement this
strategy.”

High-powered production chipper
Morbark says
its new 2355 Flail Chiparvestor produces clean pulp and paper chips at high
rates even when processing juvenile timber or thinnings. Engine options
range up to 1,000 horsepower. Standard features include an enclosed,
climate-control cab, hydraulic clutch, twin auger discharge, and two
separate hydraulic tanks for enhanced oil cooling. The operator can set the
hydraulic flail drive to operate at speeds ranging from zero to 600 rpm,
allowing the versatility to handle a wide range of climates, species, and
conditions.

New line of hammer attachments
Loegering has unveiled a new line of hydraulic hammers designed for use
on skid-steer loaders, claiming that their models produce more power than
competing models of the same weight. The company’s line ranges in
operating weight from 430 to 1,100 pounds. Features include a patented valve
system that is said to use less oil flow to do the same job as higher-flow
breakers, and more compact dimensions, which enhance operator visibility in
tight areas. An air-check valve allows the unit to be submerged in water
while working.

Mechanical air sweeper debuts
Schwarze
has rolled out a larger version of its popular A7000 regenerative air
sweeper. The A9000 employs the same basic sweeping system as its stable
mate, but has a 9.6-cubic yard hopper capacity to minimize the frequency of
off loading. The company says the capacity is especially valuable in areas
with large leaf pickup requirements.
The A9000 is powered by a 140-horsepower turbo diesel and can be mounted
on a variety of truck chassis. It features Schwarze’s patented fan system,
heavy gauge steel construction, and a 250-gallon water capacity for dust
suppression. It has a standard hydraulic system and 12-volt auxiliary
hydraulics. The pickup head is dual-chambered, with a full-width blast
orifice and can sweep in reverse.

All-in-one trench milling machine
Street Industries calls its Tigercat T750 Street Trencher an all-in-one
trench-milling machine because it combines many of the street cutting and
removal operations into one machine. An enclosed drum on the front of the
unit contains carbide teeth that saw-cuts both sides of a trench in a
roadway and grinds up the pavement in between in one pass. The company says
the machine will mill a trench in a roadway at a speed between 100 and 900
feet per hour depending on the density of the material. It can work to a
depth of 20 inches, and widths ranging from 18 to 48 inches, depending on
the drum size being used. It reduces roadway materials to chips less than
1-inch in diameter.

excavator models. The PW200-7 and PW220-7 feature 158-horsepower engines and
a wide variety of work equipment and undercarriage attachments. Operating
weights range from 41,711 to 48,215 pounds for the PW200, and from 41,025 to
50,880 pounds for the PW220.

operations on streets, roads, and parking lots. The machine has a
66-inch-wide drum and a turning radius of 6.9 feet. Dynapac says design
features include simplicity, ease of operation, and reduced maintenance. It
has an 80-horsepower turbo-diesel engine and two vibration frequencies:
1,740 vpm and 2,540 vpm.
