Tethered joystick control
The TJ Series Tethered Joystick Control from
Force
America is a reliable handheld control for light- and medium-duty
snow-removal equipment. The joystick control is capable of running the plow,
hoist, and clutch pump and is compatible with most electric valves and
components in a central hydraulic system. The control’s exclusive joystick
design allows the driver to perform multiple tasks using the same hand that
holds the joystick, providing maximum operator efficiency and comfort.
Assemblies are available for single and V-plow blades.

Asphalt/concrete cookie cutter
American Highway Products’ new asphalt/concrete
cookie cutting machine eliminates the use of jackhammers and compressors to
remove utility castings from the road. This heavy-duty machine cuts a
perfect circular hole around utility castings without destroying the
surrounding road and compaction. Round cuts reduce the amount of material
removed by over 21% compared to square cuts and eliminates corner cuts into
the existing road. The unit will cut 20-inch-deep cuts at an average 2
inches per minute. The machine will cut 60 cuts in an eight-hour day; the
blade will cut 500 holes in asphalt and 300 holes in reinforced concrete.

Highway road plates
SlipNot Metal Safety Flooring has designed a road
plate with a permanent slip-resistant surface able to withstand traffic and
battering. Years of study through both field and laboratory trials have
proven the plates effective. A factory-applied metal on metal application
ensures safety, reduces liability, and can be an integral part in overall
road safety. Bridge decking is also available.

Seismic damage prevention
Seismic Shock Control Systems’ new Axon Bearing
high-performance friction/elastomeric base isolation system protects bridges
and other structures from damage due to strong seismic events. This new
damage prevention technology is cost effective to implement and uses a
hybrid dual damping system that takes advantage of the best properties of
elastomeric bearings and controlled friction sliding bearings with
performance superior to both.
The system is rugged, simple in design, and
automatically self restoring after a seismic event. It adapts to varying
gravity loads, damping requirements, friction, displacements, and
environmental conditions. Its basic simplicity allows it to be manufactured
and sold at a low cost without compromising quality or performance. Design
simplicity also means fewer parts and fewer problems. Various stock sizes
are available and custom sizes can be manufactured for special applications.

Equal-angle hitch
The new Equal-Angle Hitch from
Schulte Industries
eliminates the need for CV power shafts and allows for a tighter turning
radius. With the load point forward of the hitch pinhole, there is less
drawbar weight and stress. The hitch has replaceable spring steel bushings
at all major pivot points, non-pivoting connection to the tractor, and a
precision heat-treated main pivot pin. The distance between the universal
joint on the tractor side and the hitch pin is equal to the distance from
the hitch pin to the universal joint on the rotary cutter side; resulting in
lower maintenance, less cost, and fewer hassles.

Shock track for birds
Bird-B-Gone’s
new Shock Track for Birds is an
effective, easy-to-install, inexpensive electric track system for getting
rid of birds. The patented design prevents water from damming/building up
behind the track to eventually short out the system. The track is super
flexible and will turn, corner, and bend in any direction and does not
require any separate hardware or labor for cornering. It will attach easily
on any surface — concrete, brick, wood, and so on. The track is available in
gray or beige and comes in easy-to-cut 100-foot rolls.
