Bobcat
Snow pusher attachment
Bobcat’s new snow pusher attachment enables compact
equipment operators to push large volumes of snow; the end wings keep the
snow from spilling over the sides of the attachment. The attachment is
available in 94- or 120-inch widths and is approved for Bobcat skid-steer
loaders, compact track loaders, and Toolcat utility work machines. Features
include a free-floating blade that floats up to 2.3 inches vertically and
tilts 12 degrees with a +/-4.5-degree oscillation, allowing it to follow
ground contour; abrasion-resistant skid shoes; a rubber cutting edge to
protect pavement surfaces; and a rear cutting-edge support for durability.

Schulte Industries
Snow blowers
Schulte Industries manufactures a complete line of
snow blowers. The 6200/7400 snow blowers are available in 62- and 74-inch
cutting widths, respectively; offer a 26-inch cutting height; and are
available in skid-steer and rear-mount models. The 8400 and 9600 models come
in 84- and 96-inch cutting widths; and feature a heavily reinforced auger
for breaking up hard-packed ice and snow. The 9600 is also available in a
front-mount design, features a frame that can be telescoped up to 45
degrees, and can lift the blower head up to 17 inches off the ground. The
1100 model features a 110-inch cutting width to match its 45.5-inch cutting
height; a 38-inch four-paddle fan with an open center and cupped blade
design that concentrates snow in the center of the fan for better blowing.

Highway Equipment Company
Plow vibration insulator
Highway Equipment’s dual trip power reversible steel
plow has a patented vibration insulator design that minimizes road
obstruction impact and reduces maintenance. The rubber vibration dampener
compresses when the cutting edge hits an obstruction, the trip edge then
trips partially, and the moldboard absorbs the remainder of the impact. By
minimizing shock, the plow is less susceptible to cracking or damage,
greatly reducing trip edge and moldboard replacement. Maintenance is made
easier by a special trip edge spring design that allows each trip spring to
be changed individually without completely disassembling the trip edge
mechanism.

Kennametal
Blade savers
Kennametal says their I.C.E. Blade-Savers reinforce
the high-wear areas of a plow blade, balance the wear across the entire
length of the blade moldboard, and extend the overall wear life of the
blade. The blade savers mount over standard blades using the same bolt holes
and can be positioned at high-wear areas of moldboard. They incorporate
Kennametal’s Isolated Carbide Edge tungsten carbide insert technology to
increase wear life while resisting breakage. The blade savers are available
in a variety of sizes and bolt patterns to fit most popular plow and blade
styles.

Extendable plow moldboard
Blizzard says their snowplow is the only one that
can hydraulically extend its moldboard with from 8 to 10 feet or from 8
feet, 6 inches to 11 feet, 3 inches at the flick of a switch. The leading
wing angles forward to direct snow into the moldboard and eliminate
spill-off. Both extended wings can be moved into the scoop position and
fully angled right or left in this position.

Meyer Products
Super-V snowplow
Meyer Products says their Super-V snowplow has the
most aggressive attack angle, is the tallest (30 inches) V-plow in the
industry, and delivers an exceptional snow-rolling performance. Available in
8.5- and 9.5-foot lengths, the V-plow’s bottom-trip design holds most of its
load if an obstruction trips the plow, reducing the number of passes
required to finish a job. The bottom-trip design also allows the plow to
trip regardless of how the wings are configured. The Super-V has
double-acting cylinders that hold the plow wings in place, even when it’s
engaging the ground and moving backward. The hand controller offers a
single-button control to position the blade in scoop or V, and a single
button for straight blade control. A three-year warranty covers all Meyer
snowplows purchased after August 1, 2006.

Holder of North America
Variable plow
Holder’s variable plow allows operators to go from
an inward V-plow, to an adjustable angle plow, to an outward V-plow, without
having to change plows. The variable plow can be adjusted on the spot,
allowing the operator to quickly adapt to various situations and terrains.
Their sander and dump-body combination allows operators to carry up to 1.5
cubic yards of material, so less time is spent reloading. The sander PTO is
ground-speed related to control the amount of material spread and provide
optimum power ratio to the attachment regardless of how fast the tractor is
traveling. Holder says when the plow is attached to its C4.74 articulated
tractor (shown) with hydraulic arm and patented hydraulic accumulator,
together they provide a combination of strength and flexibility for quality
cleaning and a comfortable ride.

Wojanis Hydraulic Supply
Plow balance system
Wojanis Hydraulic Supply’s new Plow Balance System

of the plow is needed to remove hard-packed snow or ice, the system is
simply turned off. The company says other advantages operators have seen in
using the system include increased fuel mileage, more horsepower available
for other things, less engine overheating, reduction of scraping noise and
vibration in the cab, reduced road damage, reduced impact to truck and
operator, improved steering, and less wear and tear on brake shoes and
wheels.
