Tackle those difficult
street and bridge repairs with the help of pavement saws.
The Stanley Works
Concrete cutting chainsaw
The Stanley DS11 concrete cutting chainsaw will cut concrete (wire or
rebar reinforced), brick, block, masonry, and stone. The hydraulic-powered
unit is ideal for plunge cuts, corner cuts, slab cuts, and for work in
confined areas or on uneven surfaces. The sealed saw chain requires less
water pressure for lubrication, which is routed internally through the unit.
Three different chain types are available with cutting lengths of 12, 15, or
18 inches. The saw weighs 26 pounds and is 38-inches long by 9-inches wide.

Dimas North America
Large saw for big jobs
The FS 8700 D from Dimas is a powerful and efficient saw specially
developed for big jobs. A cutting depth of 25 inches is possible with the
60-inch maximum blade capacity. The diesel-powered flat saw offers good fuel
economy for a long running time, a strong performance with plenty of torque,
and a long engine life. A blade-drive disengagement system (electric clutch)
allows the engine to run without blade rotation. The saw offers a two-speed
transmission; 220 FPM maximum speed; and a 72-horsepower, maintenance-free,
totally sealed blade shaft. The unit measures 72-inches long, 37.375-inches
wide, 63-inches high, and weighs approximately 1,902 pounds.

Wacker Corporation
Pre-set cutting depth system
Wacker’s floor saws feature an exclusive patent-pending Cutmatic system
that allows the operator to preset the depth of the cut before cutting. The
system, comprised of a spring-assisted lever, allows the operator to easily
lift the blade from the cut, change direction, and simply lower the blade
into the new joint. The depth indicator remembers the depth setting.
Both models, the BFS 1350AL and BFS 1350ALS (right), feature a maximum
20-inch blade diameter with a 7.5-inch cutting depth and 1-inch arbor.
Engines are located directly over the cutting shaft to optimize the center
of gravity, forcing the machines to stay inside the cut. The placement of
the front wheels in front of the cutting shaft, but inside the frame, makes
the saws extremely steady and allows for directional stability, increasing
cutting-blade life and reducing operating costs. The guide handle can be
easily adjusted without tools for operator comfort. The guide wheel can be
folded up and the handle folded down for easy transport and compact storage.
The BFS 1350ALS is a self-propelled unit featuring a constant and
adjustable electronically controlled traveling speed requiring minimal
operator effort. A push-button speed control allows the operator to adjust
the speed in increments faster or slower while cutting.

Sanders Saws &
Blades,
a division of Multiquip
Cutting accuracy and high performance
The new Mercury concrete pavement saw from Sanders Saws provides
professional concrete contractors with cutting accuracy and high
performance. Five series are offered, all of which feature a laser-cut frame
with heavy-duty hydrostatic transaxle drive for improved straight-line
sawing, panel-mounted one-hand joystick control for unparalleled
maneuverability and operator comfort, and a 12-volt hydraulic raise/lower
system for blade control.
The Q-3030 and Q-3035 ride on maintenance-free, dual-sealed 10-inch rear
wheels for accurate tracking and long service life. Their compact frame
design permits travel through a 30-inch-wide doorway.
The Q-6065, Q-6057 (left), and Q-6457 ride on maintenance-free,
dual-sealed 12-inch rear wheels. These saws use dual five-groove team belts
that offer 30% more load capacity. The Q-6457 offers a four-speed gearbox
and accommodates blades of 14 to 48 inches with no pulley or belt changes.
All of the saws come standard with 20-inch blade guards. Optional
blade-guard sizes are available from 16 to 48 inches, depending on the
model. The saws also showcase an innovative precision-machined 24-port
quick-disconnect blade collar system that provides 360-degree blade cooling.

Blastrac
Hand-held air-powered saw
Blastrac’s hand-held air-powered saws are versatile, lightweight, and
environmentally friendly. Saws cut from 3- to 7-inches deep, depending on
the model. Because a pneumatic source is used, dangerous exhaust pollutants
are eliminated from the work area. Maintenance expenses and down time on the
job are reduced too, since there are no gas lines or carburetors to leak or
get clogged. The air saws are designed to cut dry, but a water adapter is
standard and may be connected to a hose for dust suppression. These saws can
be used for breaking out concrete and asphalt, demolition, pile cutting,
pipe cutting, bridge repair, or sidewalk repair.

Diamond Products
Maneuverable rear pivot design
Diamond’s new Core Cut CC6160D concrete saw features a rear pivot
design with adjustable slip differential that allows for easy maneuvering by
pivoting the saw on its rear wheels. No heavy lifting is required to turn
the saw. The saw also features a jackshaft blade drive; fully enclosed
hydrostatic transmission with no exposed chains or gears; differential lock
that provides positive drive to both rear wheels for maximum traction; and a
bladeshaft tachometer. The company offers a choice of a 26-, 36-, or 48-inch
blade guard. Maximum cutting depth with a 48-inch guard is 19.75 inches. The
unit fits through a 32-inch door.

EDCO
Turbo diesel saw
EDCO’s turbo diesel saws have 14- and 36-inch blade capacity for
cutting concrete or asphalt. The models have precision-machined arbor shafts
along with heavy-duty, self-aligning bearings to provide smoother blade
rotation, high production, and longer blade life. The saws are easy to
maneuver, have all console-mounted controls for easy use and cutting, and
come equipped with a swing-away fuel tank that allows easy access to the
drive system. The unit measures 54-inches long, 38-inches wide, and
53-inches high. Weight is approximately 1,675 pounds, depending on the size
of the blade guard.

The Stanley Works
Concrete/metal cutoff saw
Stanley’s cutoff saws are lightweight and powerful and can be used for
cutting concrete, masonry, pipe, steel beams, and guardrail. They feature
adjustable wheel guards and interlocking triggers to prevent unintentional
operation. The saws can be used with standard cutoff wheels and wet or dry
diamond blades. Guards are tapped to accept a cooling water hose.
The CO23 (below) has a 10-inch wheel diameter, weighs 23 pounds, and is
19-inches long by 11-inches wide. The CO25 has a 14-inch wheel diameter,
weighs 20 pounds, is 21-inches long by 11-inches wide, and has an optional
handle extension that provides additional leverage and reach. Both are
available in an underwater version.

Sawtec
Crack-chaser saw
The Sawtec CC-100 is a walk-behind crack-chasing saw that cuts concrete
or asphalt to a 1-inch depth. The unit cuts 6 to 8 feet of crack per minute,
or up to 3,000 linear feet per day, depending on the material being cut. The
highly maneuverable saw features a swivel caster and a retractable control
handle, and uses small 5- or 6-inch diameter, dry diamond blades. The saw is
available in gasoline or electric models and operates virtually dust free
when connected to a dust collector. Applications include crack repair or
expansion joint cleanout on bridge decks and other concrete surfaces.
