Combining the functions of measuring wheel and marker in one unit,
Rolatape Corp. introduces Promarker models 30 and 400. The models are
configured to measure in either imperial or metric measurements and a
marking wand marks concurrently with measuring. For heavy
construction, large commercial projects, paved and unpaved roads, and

Handheld data collector
Available from Trimble, TSCe Controller utilizes sight, sound, and
touch to allow surveyors to conduct multiple tasks. The handheld unit
is designed to work in conjunction with the manufacturer’s GPS
survey system and proprietary and third-party total stations. A large

GPS mapping system
Mid-Tech’s Roadway Management System records the placement of up
to six chemicals or chemical mixtures during roadside application.
Operator performing application, vehicle used, date, time, and weather
conditions also are recorded. A built-in chemical calculator function
deduces the amount of chemicals needed to guarantee consistency during
subsequent applications. Using GPS mapping technology and an on-board
mobile computer, georeferenced data can be downloaded and layered with
other information to generate maps at the site to allow correction of
skips before leaving a region.
