 ADS
has introduced a new watertight joint for its N12-ProLink WT line of
corrugated, high-density polyethylene pipe to help customers meet new
EPA guidelines for storm water management. The joint has a two-inch-wide
ceramic/polymer composite fused onto the outside wall of the integral
bell of the pipe and meets or exceeds ASTM lab and field tests for
watertight storm water joints.

Brine Production System
A new brine production system from Dultmeier
Sales incorporates hydraulic cylinders that rotate the salt hopper
screen and lower brine tank so debris empties directly into the bucket
of a wheel loader. According to the company, complete cleanout takes 10
to 15 minutes with the BPS 3000. The system includes a stainless steel
hopper and brine tank, 2-horsepower pump, and corrosion-resistant
plumbing. The system produces more than 3,000 gallons per hour.

Contech
 The
Contech Slotted Drain quickly removes runoff from paved surfaces through
a continuous inlet that installs flush with the surface. Contech says it
intercepts and removes sheet flow without requiring complex grading and
surface contouring, and it eliminates the need for water channeling
devices like curbs and berms. A 20-foot length of Slotted Drain
intercepts up to 50 percent more water than most 2-foot by two-foot
grated inlets, according to the company.

UltraTech International
Ultra-GrateGuard is a reusable product designed to prevent sediments
and hydrocarbons from entering storm drains and catch basin inlets. The
polymer filter slips over the iron grate of a drain or catch basin
inlet. One of the many models available uses oil-absorbing pillows to
remove oil from storm water.

Poly Profiles Technology
Culvert Renew is manufactured from high-density, extra-high molecular
weight polyethylene and its profile design gives it very high stiffness
compared to solid wall polyethylene pipe or other profile wall products,
according to Poly Profiles Technology. The pipes feature a
screw-together coupling system which forms a soil-tight connection. The
company markets Culvert Renew for the insertion renewal of culverts.

North American Green
North American Green introduced its Vmax3 Composite Reinforcement
Series earlier this year and has recently created a Web site for these
products, www.vmax3.com. The series includes three separate
turf-reinforcement mattings which allow vegetation to be used in many
applications where rock riprap or concrete have been used in the past.
The company says SC250, C350, and P550 have proven to be particularly
useful in drainage channel and shoreline protection.

AbTech Industries
 The
Ultra-Urban Filter can be retrofit in storm drains that experience oil
and grease pollution accompanied by sediment and debris. Trash and
sediment accumulate in the internal basket while oil and grease are
captured in the filtration media. AbTech claims field tests have proven
that their proprietary filtration media will remove up to 80% of the oil
and grease in storm water runoff.
