Public road, highway, bridge and street departments at the federal, state, toll,
county, town/township and municipal (city) levels including those agencies, bureaus and
special districts; including individuals responsible for administration, planning, design,
engineering, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, betterment and safety of all
state, rural and urban road, highway and street systems, bridges and airport runways.
Definition of Recipient Qualification
Qualified are department professional staff directors, administrators, engineers,
engineer technicians, division and district managers, supervisors, superintendents,
surveyors, responsible for fiscal budgets, design, specifications of all fleet equipment,
materials for road, bridge, street and airport pavement construction, inspection,
rehabilitation, betterment, winter and roadside maintenance and vegetation control,
traffic and work zone safety.
Also qualified are elected or appointed federal, state, county, township, road,
highway, airport, commissioners, board members involved in funding or approving projects
for these departments. Including owners, presidents, superintendents or engineers in
contractor firms state pre-qualified to bid or where membership in national organizations
pre-empts such qualification or working on current projects in this field. Also qualified
are consulting engineers, equipment and materials manufacturers, distributors, members of
congressional, state and local road, street legislative committees, technical libraries,
associations and educational institutions and others allied to the field. |
